Converse One Star
In the late 60’s, technological advances in the sporting scene meant that Converse had to up their game, and as a result the brand manufactured the Suede Leather All Star. This silhouette was a close replica to the One Star we know today, but unfortunately the shoe’s days were numbered due to developments within the industry. In 1993 the One Star was revived when Converse discovered its cultural relevance within the 90’s-grunge scene, and its significance was personified by Kurt Cobain who donned the trainers himself. Today, the One Stars are as current as ever and are still championed by celebrities such as Millie Bobby Brown and Tyler, the Creator.
